HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 9

Requesting the West Virginia Division of Highways to name the new
bridge on Pond Fork of the Little Coal River on county road
85/4 near the community of Uneeda the "Price - Cabell
Bridge."
Whereas, The Price and Cabell families were among the first
families to settle the Uneeda area of Boone County and have long
been active in the affairs of that region; and
Whereas, The Price and Cabell families played an important
role in helping to obtain the new bridge on Pond Fork of the
Little Coal River; and
Whereas, The contributions of the Price and Cabell families
to the community of Uneeda and the adjacent area should be
gratefully acknowledged and commemorated; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the West Virginia Division of Highways is hereby
requested to name the new bridge on Pond Fork of the Little Coal
River on county route 85/4 near the community of Uneeda the
"Price - Cabell Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House is hereby
directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Commissioner
of the West Virginia Division of Highways, the Secretary of the
West Virginia Department of Transportation and the Governor of
West Virginia.
